We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Technician I to be based in Corona, CA to help oversee all aspects of quality. The quality tech responsibilities include inspecting materials, processes, and products, ensuring compliance with new and existing quality standards and regulations, implementing quality management actions, and contributing to the development of company policies and procedures. The quality coordinator provides quality support to projects from the planning phase to project completion.

To be successful as a Quality Tech you should be able to ensure that all materials, processes, and procedures meet regulatory and quality standards, and promptly resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise.

Key Responsibilities

§ Ensure appropriate quality-testing and carry out inspections to meet the standard set by the organization

§ Encourage and enforce cleanliness on the part of the staff and ensure safe working conditions

§ Focus on corrective actions in order to make sure that products meet required specifications

§ Maintain all documentation for the purpose of auditing

§ Collect regular samples for shelf life and analysis at the laboratory

§ Work with the Quality Control Supervisor or delegate regarding specific information relating to product information and production

§ Report bottlenecks to the Quality Control Manager or delegate

§ Engage in quality calibrations and internal audits in a professional manner

§ Constant updating of job knowledge by reading technical publications, participating in seminars and other educational opportunities

§ Mentor lower cadre employees and lead them effectively

§ Ensure measuring equipment are functioning properly and calling for repairs where equipment is faulty

§ Approve finished products for onward final-release and shipment to the market

§ Co-operate with government agencies during inspections in order to meet and maintain high production standards

§ Work with the management and production managers to ensure that quality products are produced.

§ Ensure that no expired raw material is used for production

§ Help to check and update quality control policies

§ Work as a team under the supervision of the Quality Assurance Manager

§ Support Investigations and closure of customers’ complaints and feedbacks

§ Remove bad products that are discovered during the production process

§ Monitor every stage of production to avoid product defects

§ Write reports and submit same to the quality control manager

§ Conduct and record test results as required

§ Recommend modifications to already existing production standards within the limits of available equipment capacity and capability

Skills & Experience

 Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge

§ Basic skills in the use Microsoft Word and PowerPoint and ability to manage files and records effectively

§ Thorough understanding of medical device methods and processes involved in manufacturing

§ Excellent interpersonal and good communication skills which include the ability to teach and explain methodologies

§ Skilled in quality processes and familiar with statistical techniques

§ Attention to details in order not to lose sight of anything, no matter how minute

§ Knowledge about measurement and test equipment

§ Ability to work well in a team

§ Knowledge of relevant regulation and quality control standards

§ Ability to interpret instructions whether written, spoken, or in a diagram

§ Possess problem-solving skills

Education Requirements

§ 2+ years of experience working with quality systems- medical device preferred

§ Able to inspect various types of materials (i.e., metal, plastic, electronics)

§ Background of reading blueprints and technical documents

§ Able to use various types of inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, optical comparator)

§ Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management systems.

§ Excellent communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.

§ Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.

§ Strong organizational skills
